ovlo

How it works

A swap on ovlo is a single, one-way payment: you send one asset to a one-time deposit address and receive another asset in a wallet you control. There are no accounts and we never hold your funds.

1. Get a live quote

Choose the asset you're sending, the asset you want, and an amount. The quote shows the estimated amount you'll receive after every cost: our 3.00% service fee, network costs, and the liquidity partner's execution costs. Quotes refresh automatically because prices move; a quote is an estimate, not a locked rate.

2. Enter your receiving address

This is the wallet where the swapped funds will land. We validate the format for the selected network and warn if it looks like an address from a different chain. You can optionally add a refund address for the asset you're sending; if you don't, we'll ask for one only if a refund becomes necessary.

3. Send the exact amount to your deposit address

After you confirm, we create the swap and show a one-time deposit address, the exact amount, and a countdown. Send one transaction of that amount, on that network, from any wallet or exchange. Do not send a different asset or use a different network — funds sent that way may be unrecoverable.

4. Confirmation and execution

Once your deposit is detected it needs a number of on-chain confirmations, which varies by network. The swap is then executed by the liquidity partner and the resulting funds are sent to your receiving address. Typical times range from a few minutes to around thirty minutes for Bitcoin and Monero, and longer for very large orders which are executed in slices to protect the rate.

Your status page

Every swap has a private status page with a long, unguessable link. It shows each step in real time, both transaction hashes, and the final amount delivered. Bookmark it — because we have no accounts or emails, that link is the only way back to your swap.

When something goes wrong

  • Deposit window expired: if nothing arrives in time the swap closes. Funds sent after expiry are still visible on-chain; contact support with your swap ID and transaction hash.
  • Smaller deposit than expected: we detect partial deposits and wait for the remainder. Deposits below the route minimum are refunded.
  • Rate moved sharply / route unavailable: the swap pauses and a refund is prepared. If we don't have a refund address we ask for one on the status page.
  • Delivery problem: if the receiving address can't be paid, you'll be asked to supply a new one.

In every case the outcome is one of: funds delivered, funds refunded, or funds still visible at the deposit address. Nothing is ever held in an ovlo balance.

Pricing

ovlo charges a single 3.00% service fee, already included in the quoted amount you receive. Network fees and execution costs are set by the networks and liquidity partner and are itemised in each quote. There are no hidden spreads added by us.
