ovlo

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

No. There's nothing to sign up for and we never ask for an email. Each swap gets a private status link instead.

Is ovlo custodial?

No. Funds move from your wallet to a one-time deposit address controlled by the liquidity partner executing the swap, and from there to the receiving address you gave us. ovlo never holds a balance for you and cannot freeze or reverse a swap.

What does it cost?

A single 3.00% service fee, shown in every quote and already included in the amount you'll receive. Network fees and the liquidity partner's execution costs are itemised separately in the quote.

Is the quoted rate guaranteed?

No. Quotes are live estimates that refresh every 30 seconds. The final rate is determined when your deposit confirms on-chain, so the amount delivered may differ slightly. If the market moves so far that the swap can't proceed, it pauses and a refund is prepared.

How long does a swap take?

Most swaps complete within a few minutes after your deposit confirms. Bitcoin and Monero deposits need more confirmations and usually take 15–30 minutes. Very large orders are executed in slices and can take longer; the quote tells you when that applies.

What is the minimum?

It depends on the route and is shown in the quote (typically a few tens of dollars). Deposits below the minimum are refunded rather than swapped.

I sent the wrong asset or used the wrong network. What now?

Contact support immediately with your swap ID and transaction hash. Some cases can be recovered by the liquidity partner; others cannot. Always double-check the asset and network before sending.

I sent less than the requested amount.

The status page will show the partial deposit. Send the remainder to the same address before the window closes. If the total stays below the route minimum, it will be refunded.

The deposit window expired but I already sent funds.

If your transaction confirms after expiry it is still visible on-chain. Contact support with your swap ID and transaction hash so the deposit can be located and refunded or completed.

How do refunds work?

If a swap can't complete, the deposit is returned to a refund address on the same network as your deposit. You can add one when creating the swap; otherwise the status page will ask for one when needed.

I lost my status link.

We can't recover it for you by email because we don't collect one. If you have your transaction hash, support can help locate the swap.

How do I stay safe?

Only use the deposit address shown on your status page, send from a wallet you control, and verify the receiving address character by character. ovlo will never contact you first, never ask you to send funds anywhere other than the deposit address on your status page, and never ask for seed phrases or private keys.

What data do you collect?

Only what's needed to run a swap: the assets, amounts, addresses and transaction hashes involved, plus a hashed IP for abuse prevention. No emails, no cookies for tracking, no third-party analytics. See the privacy policy for details.

Who executes the swaps?

Swaps are routed through independent liquidity partners. ovlo is the interface; execution and settlement happen on public blockchains. We publish provider availability on the system status page.
